These workshops will explore ideas and techniques of nude art photography, with an emphasis on the aesthetics of improvisation and spontaneity. Achievement of beauty will be paramount, with technical aspects as an integral part of the process, but not the primary emphasis. Composition, lighting, tonal range, model interaction, model recruitment, etiquette, props, and more, will all be explored.

The workshops are geared for beginner to intermediate level photographers, holding a basic understanding of how their camera works. Digital photography will be the primary emphasis, but film photographers are welcome. Please come with an open mind, and an interest in exploring unorthodox methods.

The workshops time will consist of ~10% discussion, ~60% guided shooting, and ~30% guided computer processing. Additionally, Erica will be available for 20 minute private shoots immediately following the workshop, for an additional $40 (limited availability, first come basis).

Cost is $120 per person, with $20 deposit required in advance (via Paypal or money order/cashiers check). Location for each city will be central, close to public transportation, and we will try to provide parking options. If anyone has a largish space with good natural light, please let us know, we can pay or trade for a spot in the workshop. Any type of space would be considered: loft, apartment, industrial, garage, house, etc.

What you need to bring: - Camera with lens, with fully charged batteries. - Memory cards as desired, (1 GB recommended) or film (three rolls of 36 recommended, ISO 200/400, BW and or colour as desired) - Additional lenses as desired. - Tripod - Laptop computer if possible, with photo editing software (Photoshop CS/2 ideal, others acceptable). We will have one available for shared use.

Demetrius Gonzalez has been photographing nudes for over ten years, and also has been teaching in a number of fields, mostly architecure and tango.
